Odett the tailor began studying her craft at Pasig City High School, The
Philippines at tailoring school in 1966. After marrying and moving to the USA
she worked at the art of sail making for Dave the sail-maker in Newport Beach,
Ca. She subsequently studied sewing at Orange Coast College, Costa Mesa, Ca.
Specializing in men and boys' clothing. Over the years Odett has worked for
various clothing manufacturers in California, Oklahoma, and Texas. Included
in these was the bikini specialty store Barefoot Contessa where she made custom
bikini's for people like Cheryl Ladd. While living in Orange County, Ca. Odett
also worked for Sunanta Inc., a manufacturer of women's clothing who had contracts
with Catalina and Jantzen among others. After moving to Oklahoma in 1981, Odett
completed a course in Auto and Boat upholstery in the Oklahoma vo-tech program,
finishing with honors. While living in the Oklahoma City area, Odett was employed
by Century Martial Art Supply, Midwest City, Ok. She also began her business
during this time, making prom dresses and other formal wear from her home. After
moving to The Colony, Tx. She worked from her home until her clientele became
too large. In 1998 she opened Odett the Tailor at 6700 N. Main ste#130, The
Colony, Tx. Odett has now moved to Tulsa, Ok. and opened Odett the Tailor, LLC
with her daughter at 7731 E. Skelly Dr.
